During the second period of Saturday's game between the two Central Division rivals, captains Jonathan Toews and David Backes got up close and personal by dropping the gloves and trying to punch each other in the face.
This fight was in response to Backes' hit on defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson behind the Chicago net, with undertones stemming from a late hit by Toews on Backes late in the first period.
This matter likely isn't fully settled quite yet.
