Edmonton Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins sat out Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Kings due to illness.
The flu is going through the Oilers' dressing room, and appears to have claimed the 22-year-old.
Nugent-Hopkins has six goals and eight assists in 17 games, while averaging a team-high 21:25 in ice time.
Leon Draisaitl centered the Oilers' top line with Taylor Hall and Teddy Purcell in Nugent-Hopkins' absence.
