Carey Price returned to practice Wednesday to a rousing ovation.
His Montreal Canadiens teammates apparently gave him a welcoming salute as he stepped onto the practice ice and eventually settled into the "starter's net" to begin the workout.
The skate marks the reigning Hart and Vezina Trophy winner's first official practice since suffering a lower-body injury in late October.
Price said afterward that he'll continue to skate with the team, but though he feels good, there's no target date established for his return.
Mike Condon will start when Montreal hosts the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday.
