Karlsson extends point streak to career-best 9 games

It's no secret that Erik Karlsson is the Ottawa Senators' engine. But sometimes stats speak too loud to be ignored.
The team's recent surge - points in seven of nine despite Saturday's loss to the Arizona Coyotes - directly coincides with the captain embarking on what's now a career-best point streak of nine games.
With another two assists in defeat, Karlsson has collected 14 points over the that span, which sees him now second in scoring among defensemen behind his Dallas Stars likeness, John Klingberg.
He'll look to keep driving his side (and perhaps inch closer to Patrick Kane) on Tuesday when the Senators take on the Philadelphia Flyers.
