John Scott is so much more than his 6 minutes of ice time a game

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

John Scott is a fighter in a NHL that doesn't have many more of them.

The prospective All-Star is the talk of the hockey world of late, thanks to a few intrepid Internetters who are voting him to represent the Pacific Division at the 2016 3-on-3 mini-tournament in Nashville.

Scott's appeared in only six games this season for the Arizona Coyotes, registering one assist. He's averaging 6:20 a night, and played only 3:42 the last time he was in the lineup, on Nov. 21, posting zeroes across the board on the stat sheet.

The massive enforcer was asked by The Canadian Press' Stephen Whyno why he's been able to keep his job, while so many of his ilk are gone from the league.

Perhaps there's a spot behind the bench for Scott in Nashville.
