Report: Mike Richards' hearing put over until January
Mike Richards' Manitoba provincial court hearing for allegedly attempting to cross into Canada with oxycodone has apparently been put over for a second time, Global News reports.
Richards' lawyer David Humphrey told Global that the hearing, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been pushed back to January.
The former Los Angeles Kings captain was stopped by the RCMP in late June, and was formally charged in August. He had his 12-year contract terminated by the Kings before his arrest was made public.
His adjournment will continue to delay any potential comeback attempt, which he stated in late November remains his goal.
