Canucks' Hamhuis suffers facial fracture, will undergo surgery

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that defenseman Dan Hamhuis suffered a facial fracture after being hit with a puck Wednesday against the New York Rangers, and is scheduled to undergo surgery Friday.
A timeline for his recovery will be announced upon completion of the procedure.
Hamhuis, who was injured late in the third period, spent the night in hospital as a result of the incident.
Hamhuis has four assists in 26 games while averaging close to 20 minutes.
