The Arizona Coyotes will have their captain back Saturday, but will be without their No. 1 goaltender for an extended period.
Shane Doan - with 10 points in 20 games this season - will return against the Carolina Hurricanes after missing the last nine games with a lower-body injury. Goalie Mike Smith has been placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body issue of his own, Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports reports.
The Coyotes recalled goalie Louis Domingue from the AHL's Springfield Falcons on Friday.
