Justin Faulk is having a whale of a season.
A mere 29 games into 2015-16, the Carolina Hurricanes defenseman tied the franchise record for power-play goals in a season with his 12th, equaling an old Hartford Whalers benchmark.

Faulk - who previously set a team record with his 10th power-play goal - scored on a slap shot from the point past the Arizona Coyotes' Anders Lindback.
His 12 power-play markers put him eight back of the NHL single-season record, held by Sheldon Souray. He's also the first player in NHL history whose first 12 goals of the season all came on the power play.
