Flyers to try struggling Voracek on left wing
It's not a last-ditch effort for Jakub Voracek, though it seems to be approaching that point.
The Philadelphia Flyers plan to move the soon-to-be-handsomely-paid forward away from his familiar, once highly-successful slot on right wing, and try slotting him onto the left side of a line with Sean Couturier, and Wayne Simmonds.
"I have one goal in 30 games. I've got to find a way. It doesn't matter where I play," Voracek said about making the switch, according to Ryan Bright of CSNPhilly.com.
"I've never played left to be honest," he added. "It's a new thing, hopefully it's going to work."
The strategy may be new, but it's not without a small sample of previous success. Voracek's lone goal this season came on a rare shift that saw him flanking Couturier and Simmonds from the left side.
