Oilers' Klefbom placed on injured reserve

Two days after Oscar Klefbom's hand injury, a fractured finger, was ruled "not major" by general manager Peter Chiarelli, the Edmonton Oilers placed the defenseman on the injured reserve.
Klefbom last played December 11, so he could still be activated in time to face the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday
Oilers analyst Bob Stauffer suggests Benoit Pouliot could be taken off the IR to face the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday after fellow forwards Rob Klinkhammer and Iiro Pakarinen were hurt during Tuesday's loss to the New York Rangers.
