Canadiens assign Charles Hudon to AHL

Analysis:
We're a bit puzzled as to why the Canadiens have sent Hudon to the Ice Caps. Typically, a parent club will send a fringe player down to lower ranks in order for him to get more playing time.
However, his minor-league team does not play until Dec. 26, whereas the Habs have three games before the holiday. The 21-year-old collected an assist in each of the two games played for the Canadiens this campaign, and it would be surprising if he isn't back in the NHL sooner than later.
