Matt Murray will start in goal for the first time in his NHL career Saturday night.
The Pittsbugh Penguins netminder will make his debut against the Carolina Hurricanes, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed.
Jeff Zatkoff started in both losses to the Boston Bruins this week, allowing two goals on 28 shots Wednesday and letting in six goals on 34 shots in Friday's defeat.
Marc-Andre Fleury remains out with a concussion.
Murray went 12-4-0 with a 1.84 GAA and .938 save percentage in 17 games with the Penguins' AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.
The 21-year-old made 40 appearances for the AHL club in 2014-15, and was a third-round pick of the Penguins in 2012.
