Jeff Petry will be unable to suit up for Monday's game against the Nashville Predators after suffering an undisclosed injury from a Jamie Benn hit over the weekend.
Petry is considered day to day and will be replaced in the lineup by Jarred Tinordi, who will make his season debut for the Canadiens.
Tinordi, Montreal's first-round pick at the 2010 NHL Draft, recorded two assists in six games for the AHL's St. John's IceCaps this season.
