The Arizona Coyotes have signed forward Conor Garland to a three-year entry-level contract, general manager Don Maloney announced Wednesday.

The 19-year-old leads the QMJHL in scoring with 21 goals and 59 assists through 33 games - 22 points ahead of the next ranked player.

Last season, Garland set the Moncton Wildcats' single-season points record (35G, 94A, 129P) - which led the league by 27 points - and was named QMJHL MVP.

Drafted 123rd overall at the 2015 NHL Draft, Garland has recorded 310 points in 204 junior games for the Wildcats.

However, he will not represent Team USA at the 2016 World Junior Championship in Finland, and wasn't invited to the evaluation camp earlier in December.
