Five thousand dollars didn't just buy Brandon Prust a spear to the midsection of noted pest Brad Marchand earlier this month, but it afforded him a little ammunition on Twitter, too.
Prust used the social media platform and his precedent to protest the NHL's apparent decision to not levy punishment on Los Angeles Kings defenseman Brayden McNabb for his elbow on Vancouver Canucks star Henrik Sedin on Monday night.

Sedin was bloodied on the hit, and despite being wounded elsewhere and being questionable heading into the contest, he was able to remain in the game.
