The Buffalo Sabres will be without forward Tyler Ennis against the New York Islanders on Thursday.
Ennis sustained an undisclosed injury after being leveled by Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin on Wednesday. He left the game and did not return.
The 26-year-old has three goals and eight assists in 23 games this season.
Matt Moulson will draw back into the lineup after sitting as a healthy scratch against the Capitals on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old forward has gone cold in Buffalo this season, recording just four goals and eight assists in 36 games.
