The New York Rangers reportedly don't believe the Columbus Blue Jackets are done dealing.

A day after Columbus traded forward Ryan Johansen to the Nashville Predators for Seth Jones, The Columbus Dispatch's Aaron Portzline suggests the Rangers are very interested in forward Cam Atkinson, and have called the Blue Jackets multiple times about the 26-year-old's availability.

Atkinson has 12 goals and 13 assists in 40 games and is projected to set new career highs in goals, assists, and points. His career high in points is 40, a mark he reached in each of the last two seasons.

Drafted by the Blue Jackets in the sixth round in 2008, Atkinson's under contract for two more seasons at a cap hit of $3.5 million. He'll be an unrestricted free agent after the 2017-18 season.

Atkinson's scored seven goals and added eight helpers at five-on-five, and has a Corsi For rating of 50.5.
