There's life in the New York Rangers.
The club rallied Monday night against the Boston Bruins, erasing a 1-0 lead in the third period to register a big 2-1 victory. It was New York's first win this season when trailing after 40 minutes, and that's certainly not lost on a club desperately searching for some confidence.

"We really turned it up again in the third, which is a really good sign that we have that determination ... and we were down a man," said goaltender Henrik Lundqvist.
The secret to the Rangers' success comes down to Lundqvist, after all:
#NYR lead the NHL in games with one or fewer goals allowed since the start of the 2013-14 season (71) and are 65-4-2 in those games.

New York played much of the game without defenseman Dan Girardi, who saw only 7:47 in ice time before leaving the game with a lacerated hand after he blocked a shot. Head coach Alain Vigneault said after the game that Girardi's hand doesn't appear broken, but the club will know more Tuesday.
The Rangers have points in three straight - two wins and an overtime loss - against stiff competition in the Bruins, Washington Capitals, and Dallas Stars.
"Obviously we've been playing good teams recently, but we've been talking about it: if you want to be a good team you have to beat the good teams," said defenseman Keith Yandle. "We've played well of late, now we just have to keep earning our bounces."
The Rangers had a nightmare December, going 4-7-2 and allowing five goals or more six times. They'll face the New York Islanders on Thursday, so the road ahead remains tough.
"Our game is on the upswing," Vigneault said.
