Shots fired: Blue Jackets poke fun at Oilers' lottery luck

Aaron Doster / USA TODAY Sports

The Columbus Blue Jackets want to make sure the Edmonton Oilers can't win this one.

With the Powerball prize now up to $1.5 billion, the bottom team in the East is hoping the luck doesn't continue for the West's basement dwellers.

The Oilers, of course, have won four of the past six NHL draft lotteries, including the latest big prize in Connor McDavid.

With both teams set to be in the running for Auston Matthews this summer, Powerball is the least of their worries.
