Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tyler Myers has been fined $5,000 for his cross-check on San Jose Sharks forward Tommy Wingels in Tuesday night's game.
Myers knocked Wingels to the ice with a cross-check to the face after the Sharks winger hit him along the boards in the third period of San Jose's 4-1 win.
Myers received a cross-checking major and a game misconduct.
Sharks forward Joe Pavelski put the game out of reach on the ensuing power play, giving San Jose a 3-1 lead with his 22nd goal of the season.
