Ryan Miller returned to action for the Vancouver Canucks after missing eight games with a groin issue, and it's a wonder he didn't aggravate the injury on his first goal allowed.
Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov sent Evgeny Kuznetsov in all alone on Miller, who ended up in the splits after the young forward potted the puck into the open net for Thursday night's first goal.
The goal was Kuznetsov's 14th of his breakout season but despite having a long career ahead of him, the 23-year-old discussed his retirement plans with Sportsnet's Dan Murphy:
Kuznetsov, asked by @sportsnetmurph if he's going to be author after career: "Maybe just smoke some nice cigars and drink the whiskey."
