Blues goaltender Brian Elliott made a career-high 46 saves and was named the game's first star on Goalies Night, during which St. Louis honored former netminders Curtis Joseph, Grant Fuhr, and Mike Liut.

Tomas Plekanec gave the Canadiens a 3-2 lead with 6:09 left in regulation, but St. Louis forward Ty Rattie tied the game 44 seconds later.

Montreal lost its third straight game and seventh in the last 10, while St. Louis won for the third time in its last four contests.
