Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman was forced from Monday's game after a scary incident in the second period.
Hoffman crashed into the San Jose Sharks' goal early in the second period, appearing to suffer an upper-body injury. He was slow to get up and was taken to the dressing room and did not return for the third period.
Hoffman leads the Senators with 20 goals in 41 games this season.
