Spin that trade wheel.
New York Islanders defenseman Travis Hamonic, who's still waiting on a trade away from Brooklyn, will return to action Friday versus the Ottawa Senators.
He was expected to miss two or three weeks due to a foot injury, but instead will lose just four games.
Hamonic has the best shot-attempt differential among Islanders blue-liners, but the club's overall production has tailed off a little bit when he's on the ice at even strength.
The defenseman cited personal reasons when he requested a trade to a market closer to his home in Western Canada in the offseason.
