The curtain has come down on Craig Adams' 14-year career.
Adams - who has not played in a game this season - announced his retirement from the NHL on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old forward finished his career with 55 goals, 105 assists, and 683 penalty minutes across 951 games with the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
"I consider myself very lucky to have been able to live out my dreams of playing in the NHL," Adams said. "I would like to thank all the management and coaches who took a chance on me and gave me an opportunity to play a role for their teams."
"The opportunity to compete with and against the best players in the world every day was an honor that I never took for granted," he continued.
Adams also played in 106 playoff games, highlighted by winning Stanley Cup championships with the Hurricanes in 2005-06, and Penguins in 2008-09.
