What began as a player award for the club has become an Internet sensation. So much so that Aleksander Barkov tweeted news of his contract extension with the club to - you guessed it - Kevin Spacey.

Now, the Panthers have done what any reasonable capitalist would: make money off the idea. Or try to, at least.

They're only $40.

As for what exactly #SpaceyInSpace is, well, it's a movement.

"I can't tell you a thing," said defenseman Erik Gudbranson, according to TSN's Mark Masters. "That simple. I'll tell you it's important for teams to find something like that, that brings everyone together and the fact we're so tightlipped about it is because it's something that means a lot to us and really helped this team come together as a group and be good buddies off the ice. I've never actually met (Kevin Spacey), but he seems to be enjoying it as well."
