The New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh suffered a concussion and will not be available for Monday's game against the New Jersey Devils, the team announced.
The Rangers captain suffered the injury during Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers after taking a punch from forward Wayne Simmonds, who received a match penalty for intent to injure as a result.
The 26-year-old has seven goals and 19 assists in 52 games this season.
