Red Wings' Abdelkader lands high hit on Panthers' Barkov

Detroit Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader drew the ire of the Florida Panthers on Monday night by hitting center Aleksander Barkov high and forcing him from the game.
Abdelkader caught Barkov with his head down in the second period.

Barkov didn't return, and was removed due to a possible concussion, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Abdelkader wasn't penalized on the play.
