Edmonton Oilers phenom Connor McDavid scored his first goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday - his favorite team growing up .

McDavid got a breakaway and outwaited goaltender Jonathan Bernier to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead early in the first period.

The goal is a big deal for the 19-year-old who grew up in the Greater Toronto Area.
