Report: Kings 'inching closer' to deal with Oilers for Schultz, Purcell
The Los Angeles Kings are nearing a deal that will land them forward Teddy Purcell and defenseman Justin Schultz from the Edmonton Oilers, reports TSN's Darren Dreger.
If an agreement is finalized with the Kings, it isn't expected that the Oilers will receive a roster player in return.

Purcell, a pending unrestricted free agent, is in the final season of a three-year, $13.5 million contract. The 30-year-old has 11 goals and 21 assists in 61 games this season.
Schultz carries a $3.9-million cap hit and will be a restricted free agent at season's end. The 25-year-old has struggled with just 10 points and a minus-22 rating in 45 games.
