Ducks' McGinn scores another 2, enjoying his wings

The winger became a 20-goal scorer for the first time in his career Thursday, scoring his sixth and seventh goals in 12 games - and fifth in the last five - since being acquired by the Anaheim Ducks from the Buffalo Sabres at the trade deadline.

A number of high-profile players were traded on and before this year's deadline, but McGinn's been quietly sniping better than most. He has more goals since being traded than Mikkel Boedker (three), Jiri Hudler (four), Andrew Ladd (three), and Eric Staal (one).

Only Devante Smith-Pelly has as many goals as McGinn's seven. Smith-Pelly has seven in 10 games for the New Jersey Devils - one more than the six he scored with the Montreal Canadiens in 46 games. That's the trade deadline for you.

McGinn's playing out the final season of a deal paying him $3 million. His career year's come at a good time, and he's undoubtedly looking forward to July 1.
