Anaheim Ducks defenseman Josh Manson will be a little lighter in the wallet as a result of his actions Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Manson has been fined nearly $2,500 for directing a throat-slash gesture toward Leafs forward Nazem Kadri in the third period of Anaheim's 6-5 overtime loss.
Manson was docked the maximum allowable amount under the CBA for an act the NHL deemed "inappropriate."
Kadri was fined $5,000 in February for making a similar gesture toward Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano.
