In the buildup to Friday's opening ceremony for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier shared a home video shot at the 2004 games in Athens.
Cormier had a successful wrestling career prior to his move to mixed martial arts, just missing the podium in Athens after losing the bronze-medal match to Alireza Heidari of Iran.
Cormier famously missed his best shot at Olympic glory in 2008 when he suffered kidney failure due to strenuous weight-cutting measures leading up to the event.
