Mutombo OK with Phelps, King using finger wag

Dikembe Mutombo has no issues with American swimmers Michael Phelps and Lilly King busting out his signature finger wag in Rio, provided they remember where it came from.

Phelps wagged his finger after winning gold in the 200m butterfly, while King's much-publicized wag was directed toward Russian rival Yulia Efimova, who failed a doping test earlier this year.

"I care more about who's the best, who's the best in the game, who's the best in the competition," Mutombo told For The Win's Nina Mandell on Friday. "... I did it because I believed I was the best in the game. Nobody else could block a shot better than me, no one could dunk on me."

"Copying my move, it really doesn't bother me," he added with a laugh. "As long as they recognize who they got it from."

Mutombo's also fine with USA Basketball using the finger wag - he's even cheering for the team in Friday's semifinal - but there's one condition.

"I tell them after they use it, they need to call," he said.
