USA Basketball announces 44 finalists for 2020 Olympic men's team

LeBron James headlines the 44 finalists for the 2020 United States Olympic men's team, who were announced by USA Basketball on Monday.
Among the finalists are nine members of the United States' gold medal-winning roster from 2016, as well as seven gold medalists from the country's 2012 squad. All 44 finalists currently play in the NBA.

Spurs bench boss Gregg Popovich will serve as the squad's head coach. Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Lloyd Pierce of the Atlanta Hawks, and Villanova's Jay Wright will be Popovich's assistants.
In the end, 12 players will represent the U.S. at the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, this summer.
