11-year-old Syrian table tennis player qualifies for Tokyo 2020
Hend Zaza, an 11-year-old table tennis prodigy from Syria, is heading to the Olympics.
Zaza qualified for the 2020 Games in Tokyo, Japan, by winning the West Asia Olympic qualification tournament last week, according to CNN's Ben Morse. She was born on Jan. 1, 2009, making her by far the youngest competitor at the event.

This year's Olympics will also feature another youngster in British skateboarder Sky Brown, who will be 12 when the Games get underway on July 24.
The youngest known medalist in Olympic history is Greek gymnast Dimitrios Loundras, who won bronze in the team parallel bars at the 1896 Olympics in Athens, Greece, at the age of 10 years, 218 days.
