American sprinter and world 100m champion Christian Coleman has been issued a two-year ban from competition after missing three drug tests, the Athletics Integrity Unit announced on Tuesday.
Coleman's suspension is retroactive to May 13, 2020, and makes him ineligible to compete in next summer's Tokyo Olympics.
The 24-year-old has 30 days to file an appeal should he choose to do so.
Coleman won gold in the 100m event at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, with a personal best of 9.76 seconds.
The Atlanta native is also the 60m world-record holder with a 6.34 time in 2018.
