Perez: Tiger 'knows he can't beat anybody,' career done if he misses Augusta
When will Tiger Woods play next?
It's the question most are asking in the golf world, after Woods went dark since pulling out of the Dubai Desert Classic with back spasms earlier in the month. Pat Perez isn't posing the question, but giving his opinion on Tiger's future.
"If he doesn't play Augusta, then it's over," Perez told SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio. "I can tell you that right now. If he does not play Augusta, it's over."
Perez also added his opinion on why Woods keeps attempting to come back and play when his injuries don't allow him to finish a tournament - like the case in Dubai.
"He's got this new corporation, so he's got to keep his name relevant to keep the corporation going. So, he's going to show up to a few events, he's going to try to play."
Woods missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open and then shot a 5-over-par 77 in Dubai before pulling out, and Perez believes Woods doesn't have the confidence to play against the world's elite.
"He knows he can't beat anybody. He's not going to come out and play poorly."
