Report: Natalie Gulbis considering running for U.S. Congress
LPGA player Natalie Gulbis was in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, meeting with Republicans to discuss a possible run for U.S. Congress in 2018, according to Jon Ralston of the Nevada Independent.
Gulbis is reportedly interested in Rep. Jacky Rosen's third congressional district Nevada seat, after Rosen declared her intentions to run for the U.S. Senate.
"Republicans are excited about Gulbis, with her unique backstory and profile, while Democrats have no heir apparent in the Third." said one GOP source. "Lots of reasons to be confident about our chances here."

The 34-year-old golfer has scaled back her playing schedule in recent years to concentrate on other interests, including TV reporting. Gulbis has been a supporter of President Donald Trump, and spoke at last year's Republican National Convention.
