Fowler, Thomas hit up Shinnecock Hills for practice round

Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas are both on Long Island for next week's Northern Trust at Glen Oaks Club, the first leg of the FedEx Cup playoff.
However, Fowler and Thomas didn't grab a practice round at Glen Oaks to prepare for the playoffs, but instead opted to grab a game at Shinnecock Hills - the site of the 2018 U.S. Open.
The club is ranked No. 4 in the Golf Digest 100 Greatest Golf Courses, and has held four U.S. Opens. The most recent was back in 2004 when Retief Goosen carded a final-round 71 to win the title on a day when the scoring average was 78.7.
