Watch: Spieth reveals how Obama talked aliens to win their match
Jordan Spieth's inquisitive nature led to his downfall Monday against Barack Obama.
Spieth, who was playing with a star-studded group in Dallas, began asking the former president about his two terms in the Oval Office, and the perks of being the Commander in Chief on the seventh hole. And that's when Obama decided to rattle the World No. 2 golfer.
"He goes, 'you won't believe what the aliens look like, they're freaking crazy looking.' And then he walks up, makes his putt, turns back, walks off the green, leaves it at that and gives me a wink," Spieth told James Corden of The Late Late Show. "And I'm sitting there, I'm like, 'I'm not going to sleep for a week!'"
With the match on the line at the final hole, POTUS 44 rose to the occasion once again, throwing a bit of trash talk at Spieth before nailing the walk-off putt for the victory.
"He kind of said, ‘When there’s a crowd on the last hole, I never miss.’ He steps up and knocks in … perfect speed, right in the middle of the hole."
