Woods, Stricker named vice captains for U.S. Ryder Cup team

Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker will serve as vice captains for the U.S. squad at the 2018 Ryder Cup in September, team captain Jim Furyk revealed Tuesday.
Woods and Stricker will join Davis Love III, who was named a vice captain by Furyk last month.
The 2018 Ryder Cup will be held from Sept. 28-30 on the Albatros Course at Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a suburb of Paris.
It will be just the second time that the Ryder Cup will be held in continental Europe, and the U.S. will be looking for its first victory in the tourney in Europe since 1993, when the Americans won at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, England.
