Tiger feeling confident ahead of Masters: 'I'm just here to win'
Tiger Woods might not be competing at this weekend's PGA Tour stop in Houston, but that didn't stop him from making a bit of noise ahead of next week's Masters.
Woods opened up about how he's feeling going into the most anticipated tournament on the calendar at Augusta National, a course where Tiger has been crowned champion four times. And according to Woods, he's just starting to piece his game back together.
"I’ve been better with each week I’ve competed,” Woods said on his official website. "A little more crisp. I’m starting to put the pieces together."
The 2018 Masters will be Tiger's sixth PGA Tour event of the year, most recently teeing it up at Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational where he finished with a final score of 10-under par, good enough for a fifth-place finish.
His recent success is something Woods didn't think was possible following four recent back surgeries: "I got a second chance on life. I am a walking miracle," said Woods.
"I’m just there to win."
Tiger heads into the Masters as the odds-on favorite to take home his fifth green jacket.
