The announcement comes two weeks after a report that tickets won't be available to the public for the event at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. Instead, only a small collection of sponsors and VIPs will be able to attend the match live.
The noon start in Las Vegas squashes rumblings that a portion of the match would be played under the lights in prime time.
Woods' and Mickelson's managers confirmed Wednesday that each golfer will donate a portion of the proceeds from the match to charity, according to Golf Channel's Rex Hoggard.
