Woods agrees with Haney's suspension: 'He got what he deserved'

Tiger Woods believes Hank Haney received just punishment after his former swing coach was suspended by SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio for controversial comments regarding the LPGA Tour.

"He deserved it," Tiger said following the second round at the Memorial Tournament, according to Golf.com's Dylan Dethier. "(You) just can't look at life like that. And he obviously said what he meant, and he got what he deserved."

Haney was asked for his opinion Wednesday about who was going to win this week's U.S. Women's Open, and he admitted he couldn't name many golfers on the LPGA Tour.

"I'm going to predict a Korean," he said, adding: "Well, I'd go with Lee. If I didn't have to name a first name, I'd get a bunch of them right."

Haney apologized for his remarks and accepted his suspension after receiving significant backlash for his remarks through social media, including Korean-American golf star Michelle Wie.
