Hatton celebrated 1st win by 'drinking vodka and tequila out of the bottle'
Tyrrell Hatton earned his first PGA Tour victory last week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and celebrated in a fashion that left him hurting the next morning.
"Sunday night celebrations there was a lot of red wine and then, unfortunately, the finisher was drinking vodka and tequila out of the bottle, which never kind of ends well," Hatton said at The Players on Wednesday.
The Englishman added that he was "cuddling the toilet" at 5 a.m., according to SB Nation's Brendan Porath.
"Yeah, I fell victim of that, definitely," Hatton said.
The 28-year-old, who edged Marc Leishman by a stroke for his fifth professional worldwide title, predicted this type of post-win party was going to unfold.
"It's hard to kind of think about next week at the moment with the sort of potential celebrations we have got later today," Hatton admitted Sunday at Bay Hill. "I don't think I'll be in any fit state ... at least until Wednesday. But yeah, I think we'll savor this one quite a bit."
With his victory, Hatton moved up to No. 22 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
