Tiger inducted into World Golf Hall of Fame as member of 2021 class
Tiger Woods was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame as a member of the 2021 class, the organization announced on Wednesday.
"I am both honored and humbled to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame," Woods said. "This past year has been such an incredible journey and the support I've received from my family, friends, and fans has been overwhelming. This achievement is the ultimate recognition to never give up and keep chasing."
Tiger was a sure-fire selection with a record-tying 82 PGA Tour titles, 15 major championship wins, and 93 worldwide victories while being a three-time winner of the career Grand Slam.
He became eligible for enshrinement after the Hall of Fame reduced the age requirement to 45, which he will turn in December.
Woods was named as one of 10 nominees for the class of 2021 last week, along with notables Padraig Harrington, Tom Weiskopf, Dottie Pepper, and former PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem.
Additional inductees will be announced in the coming days, according to the Hall of Fame.
