The PGA Tour will forgo the traditional relegation for players who finish outside the top 125 on the FedEx Cup points list and extend current cardholders' eligibility for one year, the organizer announced Thursday.

Spots outside of the top 125 are typically granted to players graduating from the Korn Ferry Tour. However, due to the drastically reduced 2019-20 schedule, those spots for the 2020-21 season will be reserved for current PGA Tour players who don't finish inside the top 125 on the 2020 FedEx Cup points list.

Conversely, a reduced number of Korn Ferry Tour players will be promoted to the main circuit for 2020-21. Only the top 10 players on the Korn Ferry Tour points list at the end of the secondary circuit's season will receive limited status on the PGA Tour in 2020-21.

There will also be no Korn Ferry Tour Q-school.

The Korn Ferry Tour currently plans to combine the 2019-20 and 2020-21 schedules and restart its season June 11 at TPC Sawgrass, the same day as the PGA Tour.
