Mickelson joining Jordan's exclusive club The Grove XXIII
Expect to see Phil Mickelson playing golf with Michael Jordan in the near future.
On Monday's edition of "The Dan Patrick Show," Mickelson revealed he's taking the required steps to join Jordan's recently opened The Grove XXIII course.
"I'm actually in the process of joining his club there in Florida, The Grove, that he built, which is really a cool place," Mickelson said. "He did an exceptional job there."
The connections Mickelson has made throughout his career, in addition to his success on the golf course, provided him the opportunity to be invited to join the super-exclusive club.
"Fortunately, I know a number of members there," Mickelson said, who's relocating from San Diego to Florida. "My wife and I just bought a lot fairly close (to) there, it's only about 10-15 minutes away, so, it would be a great place to play and practice."
It's believed that Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas played their left-handed match at The Grove early into the PGA Tour's hiatus.
